Too soon for....? (TMI Post)

I read before that some women experience enhanced libido during recovery but I was NOT expecting it to be like this. I am going CRAZY and I'm only 2 1/2 weeks post op. Whats worse is that every day that passes and I show how much I feel better my hubby is getting more and more anxious. This morning before he left for work he woke me up with a sensual kiss and massage to certain areas of the body So I'm wondering now today, I know sex is out of the question, but would it be so bad if we tried oral sex? I had my 2 week post op check and the doctor released me for baths. Hmmm, I'm just wondering. I wasn't really expecting to feel so much better so soon, and our sex life before was amazing before the surgery. It seems like now that I'm not so bogged down with all the endo pain I have all that extra energy. And right now I only have one thing on my mind. Somebody tell me something that will help with this.

Oral sex may be okay, but It is totally too soon for intercourse because of internal stitches and tearing that could possibly occur. Even 6-weeks post-op, intercourse was very painful for me even though I was really into it...but that was my experience. Husbands always get anxious, but it is better to err on the side of caution and restraint than to suffer complications from premature sex that may cause you to need to abstain even longer.

I know exactly where you're coming from! I'm 9 days postop, and my libido is through the roof. I think it's making up for lost time, because before the surgery, I was in too much pain to even think about sex.

I was definitely told I couldn't receive oral sex until 6 weeks, but I'm also not allowed to swim or take baths until then, either. Maybe just some hands-on play?

Just like most things it seems to be a conflicting opinion between doctors on this subject. Grrr. Just as I finished writing that post my hubby sends a text message on my cell with a sweet little semi-explicit sentiment. If he only knew what kind of torture this is.

You should ask your doctor before you find yourself on the receiving end of oral sex. Some doctors may allow it, but a lot don't. It could introduce bacteria into the vagina that could lead to infection. Reading the Post-Op Sex Checkpoint may help answer some of your questions.
