What are the lower pelvic spasms?

Today I started getting these horrid spasms in my lower center pelvic region. They last about 5 to 10 minutes. I'm assuming its a normal part of recovery, but do you know what causes it?

Re: What are the lower pelvic spasms?

Is it possible your bladder is having spasms or possibly your bowels are cranky? I would suggest calling your doctor and asking what this could be and how to eliminate them.

in there!

Could be bladder spasms.
Most seem to have them for a while.
There were posts about peppermint tea helping.
I used hotpacks.

Thanks, ladies!

Whatever it is, I haven't experienced one in a few hours, so I'm a happy lady.

Re: What are the lower pelvic spasms?

I had spasms also. My doctor told me before surgery that this would probably occur due to bowels shifting. It lasted for about 4 weeks. Everything fine now. Take care!
