Major PMS one year post hyster w/both ovaries. Started on Mini Pill , anyone done same?

I started having mood swings and hot flashes about 6 months after my partial hyster. Finally went back to my OB who tested my FSH and TSH levels all of which were in normal range (although in low side). I can't stand how I feel right about ovulation and right before my "period" (light bleeding/spotting for about a day or two). I never had any of these symptoms prior to my surgery. I had some PMS but nothing like the horrible anxiety and sadness I feel at times. As a mom of 4 I do not want to spend the rest of my times fighting these symptoms. My MD has prescribed the mini pill - Nora BE. I started it two days ago in hopes it levels out my mood. Anyone else have any luck with it? or is there anything better out there ?? Appreciate the help in advance.
