This granuloma stuff scares me, wonder how many women develope that afterwards. I think I'm healing nicely, been 8 weeks now. No problems with intercourse or pain or anything, but still a little discharge. Anyone else? No odor and whiteish yellow in color. I go in Nov. for a pap smear and check up, not sure if I should call him about this or not. Hope you feel better Crampfree.

HI, I'm not sure how common it is. If I had simple granulation I would have been treated in the Dr's. office, but my granuloma was a mass growth of inflammatory granulation tissue. For those who do get granulation/granuloma it it is associated with the healing of the vaginal cuff when your cervix is removed. Sounds like you kept your cervix, so you wouldn't have a vaginal cuff. I don't have to go in for pap smears anymore do to not having a cervix, I have to go once a year for what they call a vaginal smear.

I am glad you are healing well and all seems great in the sex department. I had discharge like you are discribing and Dr. told me it was normal as I was still shedding healing tissue. I would give the Dr. a call if you notice any other symptoms appearing like a odor, burning, itching, or a fever. Sounds like you are doing wonderful, keep up the great healing!

It's when you have your cervix removed and they have to sew you up, so you don't have an opening into your abdominal cavity.
