hi sisters, i had my tah on 11/28...surgery went well, spent 4 days in the castle...glad because i did have a lot of side affects from the anesthisia...really sick at the castle so i was glad that my dr gave me the extra care with the nurses...i have been home now a little over a week...i use a belly binder...this has worked great for giving my back some relief as it holds by stomach in so i feel much more supported...i have pain still so i am still taking pain meds but much fewer than i expected...my surgical site still has about 11 sterile strips across it...dr said they should be falling off soon....i have ventured out...but found out real fast not to over do it...haven't done any housework other than fold some clothes...my dh and ds's have been great!!! all do all the chores and cooking....i feel good that they really stepped up, usually i have to do most...so i think i will definetly milk this one!!! i am looking forward to getting a little more stronger and being able to drive...still resting is the best....i hope all of you continue to do well and get much better!!!

Good for you and I hope you continue to do well. Just keep resting. Don't push yourself with anything.

Welcome home, Leslie! Yes, take it easy! It's worth developing a little patience now for the rewards later.

Good to hear you're recovering well! Try to take it easy - especially as we get further into the busy Christmas season!

Glad you are doing well. I am almost 5 weeks post-op........Remember not to over do it.......It's hard, especially when you are feeling so good. I still take a small nap in the afternoon. I haven't gotten my complete energy back yet.
