Driving restriction

Does anyone know what the reason for the driving restriction is (for LAVH)?

My nurse told me that if you are on medication and have an accident or are pulled over and they test you then you will be considered under the influence. But then a lady on here pointed out something that really made sense. If you are in an accident and the airbags deploy and hit your stomach area and its all stitched together on the inside then its not strong enough to take the impact and could really tear you you.. For example internal bleeding.

Please consider your safety and the safety of others if you are in a hurry to get back behind the wheel of your vehicle.

Get in your car.
1) Put on your seatbelt. Reach up and give it a hard tug (as if you SLAMMED on the brakes). Did it hurt?

2) Remember when you were learning to drive and the driving instructor taught you how to back up, while looking through the rear window? Can you do that without hurting?

3) Honestly evaluate your reaction time. Can you avoid that kid that just ran out in front of you? How hard can you hit that brake pedal?

4) It can take weeks for all the drugs to get out of your system. If you are taking any prescribed pain meds, you are under the influence and can be charged as such. Do you really want to go to jail?

Even though you may feel you are a really good driver, you cannot foresee what "the other car" is going to do.

Please think of the others on the road before you think you really need to drive somewhere.

Thanks,
Autumn
