I don't know if I'm 2 or 4 weeks post op?

I had a laparoscopic total hysterectomy on 8/17/16 and 2 weeks and 2 days later started bleeding profusely. I was rushed to hospital and had emergency surgery. The surgeon restitched my vaginal cuff. Apparently, a stitch came out at the edge of the cuff. I'm not sure if I'm 2 or 4 weeks post op having had 2 surgeries in 2 weeks? I'm tired, weak and sore. I feel helpless. I also had severe constipation where I could hardly walk. I went to doctor and they gave me an enema. The sharp stabbing pains from constipation was worse than the pain from the surgery.

If your vaginal cuff had to be re stitched than that probably means you're only 2 weeks post op. I'd imagine recovery starts all over from that point since you had to have anesthesia again and new stitches put in. It does get better, it just takes time.

Your recovery starts the day of your hysterectomy, even if you have complications. However, because of your extra repair surgery, parts of your recovery may now take a bit longer. You'll need to talk to your doctor about what your schedule is now.
