5 wk po & still dealing with fatigue and IC flare
i am 5 wks po, and i am having a terrible time.
i am soooo exhausted. i went to see the new sex and the city movie saturday, and i slept all day sunday and monday and am still tired. plus, to make life more complicated, my interstitial cystitis is flaring. even after taking 2 ditropan er, i still went to the bathroom 5 times before being able to go to bed.

5 wk po & still dealing with fatigue and IC flare
I'm also 5 weeks post op as of yesterday from my lavh with a&p repair and I can relate to the feelings of fatigue also. I took myself to the shopping mall yesterday and and was exhausted last night and today yet. Apparently recovering from major surgery does take a while and this is what the nurses meant when they said our bodies will tell us when we have over done it! Sorry to hear about your IC also.

it is nice to know i am not alone.
i can't even imagine going to work any time soon. i work at a bookstore full-time so i am on my feet for 8+ hours, and i also work at a lab part-time. i get a little freaked when i hear about how long it takes to get over the exhaustion. i had no idea about this aspect of my recovery.
