strange emotions

just wondering if any one else has had feelings of needing to change the "outside" since the inside was changed?
It seems that when I look in the mirror, I feel that something isn't quite right, so I have picked up scissors and razors, bleach and color changes, my poor hair, its good or bad thing that I'm a hairstylist, hair is the easiest thing to change. Make-up is also easy to change, but my face isn't handling some of the new stuff, rashes and break outs.
I still have one ovary left, but everything else is gone (LAVH)
Any ideas, or any one similar?

I too did what you did Saturday I went in and had my hair stylist cut my hair way shorter than its ever been. Thank goodness my stylist knew better and talked me out of cutting it all off (bless her). I do like my new cut but its gonna take some time to get used to since I have always had long long hair to middle of my back of longer now its shoulder length and feels so light and liberating. I also got highlights and my eyebrows done. LOL I think it was my way of saying I may be different but I am still beautiful and awesome and just needed and wanted a new beginning outside to match my new insides. Not better not worse just new and updated and something to pamper me! I did kinda wonder if it was to make myself feel younger again but have come to the conclusion that I think I just needed a change and since I had the courage to go through surgery I figured a new hairstyle was easy compared to that change so I did it. I still have both ovaries not sure that made a difference.

The change that I'm trying to make is long term all around better health. I got jump strated on weight loss with the surgery and lost a few more pounds afterward. Now, though, I'm stuck and not losing. I've been diligent about walking and will add in other exercise soon. I also want to eat better - I look sweet things way too much!

Strange, indeed! I have stopped wearing make-up completely...

I too had felt this way, so I decided that I was going to pamper myself, since I couldn't do anything else. I had gone to my hair dresser when I could drive to receive a new trim, had my daughter do my color. Got some new makeup colors and painted my toes and nails. If you look great on the outside, you'll feel great on the inside. Also started dating hubby again for those special romantic nights helps too.
