6 days post hysterectomy, burning at surgical site

Saw the dr this morning and had my staples removed, And he put on steristrips in place of the staples. he said everything was looking really good! He did send urine out for culture as i am having significant pain urinating. Any how its been a few hours and now i am having intense burning sensation at surgical site, i had occasionally experienced some burning with the staples if i stretch or moved too much but this burning is more constant and intense any movement at all makes it significantly worse. Should i be worried??

Re: 6 days post op, burning at surgical site

Good to know. The first few weeks of recovery often come with discomfort considering the major trauma that your body has been through. I remember getting that burning sensation and the best part is that it will feel better and better as time goes on. Pain medications should help and if you find yourself still uncomfortable several days from now, it wouldn't hurt to give the doctors office a quick call to give you some peace of mind.
