13 Days to go and I am getting really nervous .....rant

My castle date is June 5th. I am trying to get caught up at work, so my co-workers will be able to cover while I am gone. Still only have 1/2 of my bedroom painted (been working on this since Feb), still trying to plant my garden.... need to get the vacumm fixed..... and the list goes on. I am starting to run out of energy. My DBF will come over on the weekend to help with repairs but the rest is up to me.
I have two DD (13 & 15) who will be my support when I get home. My mom is elderly, lives in another city and has major health concerns, so she won't be here to help me. My brother lives in the US and been quite the jerk about everything. My parents are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary and my mom is turning 80 two days after my castle date. I had been planning a party for them on June 7th but I had to cancel that when the surgery was booked for June5th. My brother still expects me to drive 3hours to visit them when I won't be out of the castle yet because he had his ticket booked. He now wants 30 days notice of when I will be feeling better so I can drive to Calgary to take my parents out for dinner. He just doesn't understand that I can't tell him how fast I will heal.
Anyways thanks for letting me rant, now get back to housework.

First - Happy 50th Anniversary to your mom & dad and to your mom.

Please try not to get too stressed out about everything. I know - I did the same thing, and it's hard not to. But, it's also important that you are as rested as possible going into surgery.

Since your DD's are 13 and 15, why don't you get them to help out now? They should be able to finish up the painting, and help you plant your garden. If you can't get your vacuum fixed before you go, could you borrow one from a neighbor when needed? Your DD's should be able to do that, too.

I know how hard it has been for you to get a surgery date, and know that postponing your surgery really isn't an option. I'm sure your parents will understand, and I'm sorry that your brother doesn't, right now. Unless he's married and his wife has had a hyst, he probably won't understand, unless you get pretty specific. And from your signature, I see that you are having more done than just the hyst.
