10 weeks & incision bleeding

Just wanted to post about this because it was super scary for me, and being that all is okay, I wanted to put out some comforting words in case it happens to someone else . . .

I have been feeling great following a Da Vinci Total Hysterectomy on June 19th. Last Monday, I was changing for bed and noticed something all over the front of my tank top. When I looked closer, I saw it was blood. i pulled off my shirt and noticed a steady stream of blood from my belly button incision. of course this immediately freaked me out. i cleaned the incision and took a bath and went to bed. i noticed more dried blood in the morning and made an appointment to see my doc.

the doc checked me out and the incision appeared fine - no swelling or sign of infection, and no real sign of an opening either. The doc advised that sometimes blood can collect under a healed incision and eventually makrs its way out. apparently perfectly normal, even though i had never heard of this.

anyone else every experience this?
