8 days post hysterectomy and hit a wall

Today is 8 days after surgery for me. I don't hurt, per say, but I'm achy like cramps. I lay down and then my back hurts. I haven't had any real pain since 2nd day after surgery. I didn't expect the achyness. I found this site after googling at 1:30 in the morning the other night. Thanks, it really helps to know I'm not being paranoid!

Not uncommon. The back could be from the position you were in during surgery and/or the way you are walking now. Ice was my backs friend and heating pad my stomachs. Some use heat on their back too. Remember, things were removed inside and healing is going on. Healing can hurt.

Find the thread for women who had surgery the same week as you. It was nice to walk with others in the same place of healing. You will find things that you all have in common and when something needs a doctors opinion.

My surgery was May 7th today is exactly three weeks and the last two days besides the first week have been the worst for me!! Everyone is different tho! This is the best site it really helps so much!
