3 weeks post hysterectomy and I just started have sharp pain on my right side ?

I am 3 weeks po and I stared having sharp pains on and off throughout the day. At night when I am in bed I get a very dull ache/pain on my right side. Does this sound like normal healing ??

It does, especially the kind that comes and goes throughout the day. Healing comes in stages, stitches dissolve, scar tissue evolves, and nerves repair themselves throughout the process. One comment I've seen a number of times is how that 3rd week can feel like going backwards.

Also, even if you're making daily BMs, digestive woes can contribute to those abdominal pains. At around 17 days, I had what felt like rock mining with a pickax internally. Mine moved around, letting me know it was digestive in nature. Keep up with fiber, magnesium and plenty of water.

Otherwise just monitor for any changes which concern you - fever, heavy bleeding, unusual discharge. Rest well!

Thank you so much for your input. It does kind of feel like I am going backwards this week. I see my doctor tomorrow for a check up so I will also be sure to ask some questions.
