LSH: Hiatal Hernia and Laproscopic hysterectomy

Hello All!
I have been reading about a lot of information here.
I actually have a LSH scheduled for May 12th, but I wanted to pose a question that concerns me.

Does anyone else with a medium to large hiatal hernia have had or are having a Laproscopic Supracervical Hysterectomy? I am concerned about the gas pumped into my abdomen. Will this push on my hiatal hernia and make it protrude up into my chest Did anyone have any problems during surgery with this or have been advised by their Dr. to not have laproscopic because of this? I put on my information sheet that I have a hiatal hernia, but my Dr. and I never discussed it since I never thought it would be a problem. I am afraid he might have over looked it.
I just want to know others experiences with this, so that I can bring this to my Drs. attention.

i had a laproscopic hysterectomy and developed a hernia where the tube was inserted near my belly button. i am scheduled next week for surgery to repair it. i would definitely ask your doctor.

Have you talked to your doc about this?
I have a hiatal hernia and no one would pay attention when I tried to tell them about this. I had a TAH. The air that did get into my abdominal cavity went right to the hernia. I had pressure for over a month.
PLEASE talk to your doc about this. They may actually be able fix it while they are in there.
