Hoping I didn't injure myself! dvh

Had my davinci on Nov 30, everything was going well until Tuesday, when at 10 days post op I wanted to go for a walk. Walked about 5.2 miles total, 1.5 of which I actually was able to run. I'm a marathoner and I couldn't help myself from giving it a shot. About 30 minutes afterward there was searing pain in the entire lower abdomen, and since then I've had random spasms in the lower abdomen and sides, as well as some really severe tightening of those muscles. It really hurts to pee, not like a burning but when the stream has to start it really hurts, and I can only go about half of what needs done before it's done dealing for the time being. Doctors checked for UTI and came up empty. I also started spotting that day and have a bit since then, but hadn't been doing that since operation day. Anybody had anything similar or ideas what this could be? Waiting to talk to my dr tomorrow to determine where to go from here, and it's driving me nuts.

Your pain in the abdomen and lower sides can just be normal healing -I experienced the same thing. I don't know about the urine. You shouldn't do any running - this is an impact exercise and as you've figured out is a no-no. Maybe you could do a search on this site for davinci and your specific issues - read previous posts and see what they've gone through. This might be helpful to you. Good luck.

I know that you want to gets back to your normal routine as quickly as possible, but you have to remember that although you may feel good on the outside, your insides need time to catch up. Please check with your doctor before you do any more running. You have internal stitches that need time to heal.

Walking is good, but not in excess. You've got to listen to your body. Give yourself time, you only get one chance to heal right the first time.

Call your doctor. I hope everything is okay. Please keep us posted.

You did too much.
I know it's really difficult to not at times, especially when you feel okay.
Your body is still healing and needs time to do so.
Your organs are finding there new spots after aging space from removal of your uterus.
Things are no doubt still a little unhappy and maybe even swollen from surgery and your bladder is letting you know.

Glad you are going to be checking in with your Dr.

I am also eagerly waiting to start training for a marathon and hoped to be doing so by now but my internal stitches have still not healed and it's frustrating but I have pushed recovery from abdominal surgeries in the past and it's just not worth it.

Hope all goes well from here.
Sending hugs xxxxx
