polka-dotted belly!

I'm 6 days post op, and my belly looks polka dotted! Has anyone else had this? Could I be allergic to the tape? (I'm one of those sensitive, allergic to several things type of people) I see my doc in the morning for staple removal, but I wanted to see if any of you have had this.

I think I remember seeing someone else who posted they had dots on their belly. Maybe you can search for it. It wasn't that long ago. You Dr. will let you know in the morning, though.

Yes mine looked. still looks like that. I was given a shot of blood thinner in my stomach right before the surgery so I figured it was from that. I also am sensitive to tape so...

I had a horrible reaction to the tape/gauze. What did your doc say? Hope things went well.

My belly was like that. I actually ended up having an allergic reaction to the pain meds I was on and had to ended up on prednisone because I am also allergic to benadryl (ugh, of ALL things to be allergic to!). I still have A LOT of the red dots on my stomach. When I talked to my Mom about it (she had a partial hyst. years ago, and then they went back in and finished it 2 years later), she told me she still has the red dots. She told me that the red dots are capilaries that were busted during the expansion of the abdominal area.
