megastrol causing major weight gain...

So my dr gave me megastrol to stop my heavy bleeding but its been a week and i am getting FAT! Any one else had this issue so quickly?

I've been taking it for over two years and haven't gotten fat. I do notice the increased appetite but I pay close attention to how much I eat and exercise regularly and my weight hasn't gone up.

I have been trying to watch what i eat but because of my anemia, the docter said that if i exercise i will have a heart attack so that throws that out the window for me. I was at a 5.1 for the red blood cells level. She said that was critically anemic. I felt fine just a little tired so anyway i think that the lack of exercise is a big factor in my weight gain.
