Waiting

So my surgery was origonally scheduled for jan 21...couldve had this over and done with but my insurance ,federal bcbs, decided to deny it..even after dr appealed it..anyway new plan is another ultrasound on tuesday..hoping grapefruit size fibroid has gotten bigger..and he wants me to document next period..no problem cuz there super heavy anyway..then hes gonna file new pre auth..hoping all goes well and I can get this thing outa me..hate waiting..im a very impationt person!! What can you do when your at the mercy of the insurance people....

It amazes me .. I can understand someone wanting to get a tummy tuck or boob job and insurance raising an eyebrow ... but do they really think someone is going to have an unnecessary hysterectomy? I can only think its a man not giving the auth!!
I have insurance and my 1 night stay is still costing me 13k out of pocket...

Thats crazy that your insurance wont approve it. Cant imagine what you are going through...i had fibroids that were orange sized. i did have 3 orange sized fibroids, but your grapefruit sized fibroid has to so painful. Im sorry you have to wait longer, i hope you and your dr get it figured out soon. Guess the only good thing about not having insurance is that i didnt have to fight with insurance companies
