Hormones?
I am having everything, except MAYBE my cervix removed. Will I need the hormone therapy? Will I have the choice? What is it really for?
I have a TON of questions before my OCt 25th surgery date!

Hi Chelle,
I'm going in Friday, I'm having everything removed EXCEPT my cervix. I will be on hormones after, already have my Climara patches, which I will bring to the hospital with me, so I can have it on right after.  I'm 35 years old, and one of my top 5 fears has always been menopause, so the fact that I'm only days away from facing one of my biggest fears is very nerve racking for me.
Depending on your situation, if your ovaries are removed, you may be on HRT afterwards. Because your body won't be producing the hormones anymore.
I requested the patch because I HATE taking pills, I have a lot of trouble swallowing them , so I'm hoping that the patch will work for me or I'll probably have to switch.
