he changes his mind like i hope he changes his underware!!!
omg.. now my doctor wants to veto the merina iud because i finally convinced him that it was to risky with the severity of my bleeding, and now he wants to do some balloon abulation crap....aaaaaaaaahhhhhh.. good Lord will it ever end? ladies do you ever feel like a science fiction movie? where your mind, body and spirit are the story lines? he keeps giving me these 40% chance of it working crap, but yet NONE of these 40% have my bleeding disorder, so i cannot go by these other peoples odds because i've got a serious medical problem, he said he could not in good faith do a hysterectomy because i was not anemic, and untilhe tried all other options.. even though i have tried the b/c pills and depro with no luck, he said,"now if you start bleeding and do not stop.. then i'll do it.. well i guess i've got to be on deaths door step to satisfy his behind.. i'm going to my general doctor this evening.. going to request a referal to another doctor.. none of this makes sense to me. i would not complain if i did not have other medical problems, but i do and i have to be very cautious. he doesn't seem to understand that my low platlet count affects my periods and my periods affect my blood disorder.. well just thought i would complain awhile... thanks for listening...

Good for you that you're going back to your doctor and getting a referral. To me, it's a doctor's job to give you all the possible information on available treatment options, but you have to make the final decision. Keep talking and asking questions and make sure the surgeon consults with the doctor treating your blood disorder. Good luck!
Does your doctor think the balloon ablation is safer for people with your blood disorder than hysterectomy? That's another good question to ask.

UPDATE!
WELL I'M GOING TO TRY THIS AGAIN.. GOT KICKED OFF LINE..
ANYWHO.. WENT TO MY GENERAL DOCTOR TODAY, HE'S AWESOME BY THE WAY.. HE WAS VERY UPSET ABOUT THE RUN AROUND I AM GETTING AND SAID HE WAS GOING TO REFER ME TO A GYN/ONCOLOGIST SPECIALIST..HE SAID THAT MY CURRENT GYN WAS NOT GIVING ME GOOD ENOIUGH ODDS FOR MY HEALTH CONDITIONS, AND THAT I WOULD BE A FOOL TO TRY SOMETHING WITH ODDS LIKE THAT! A HYSTERECTOMY WILL BE MY BEST BET BECAUSE ITS A DONE DEAL, ALL THIS OTHER MESS THEY ARE TRYING IS NOT, MY BLOOD DISORDER IS A FACTOR, BUT MY HEMOTOLOGIST ASSURES ME HE CAN GET MY PLATELETS UP HIGH ENOUGH FOR THE SURGERY..THEREFORE MY PLATELETS ARE NOT A BOTHER FOR ME, TRYING 50 DIFFERENT THINGS WITH THE HORRIBLE ODDS I'VE BEEN GIVEN IS A BOTHER.. SO.. NOW I GET TO BREAK IN A NEW DOCTOR...LOL...OH YEAH, MY G.P. ALSO FOUND HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE AND HIGH CHOLESTEROL, I'VE GOT TO HAVE AN EKG NEXT WEEK BECAUSE HEART DIEASE RUNS HIGH IN MY FAMILY.. YIPPIE!!!!!!! MORE EXCITING NEWS. AND MY G.P. ALSO IS GOING TO HELP ME GET MY COUNTY ASSISTANCE RE STARTED.. HE WAS MAD ABOUT THAT TO, HE SAID WITH MY BLOOD DISORDER, HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE, CHOLESTEROL, AND DEPRESSION , I DEFINATELY NEEDED IT! SO.. CROSS YOUR FINGERS.. THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH FOR RESPONDING AND LISTENING TO MY TALE OF WOE... MUCH LOVE TO YOU ALL...
