Last minute questions for pre-op hysterectomy visit

Hello,
My pre-op with my doctor is tomorrow and I was wondering if anyone had any last minute advice to check with my doctor about? I will be having surgery August 12 (Dvh--removing all). I have a list of things to double check with the doctor, but I just want to make sure that I cover everything I need to cover. Also, I am starting to get nervous! Don't be nervous! I had the davinchi 6 days ago & am doing well. Still sore & I get tired really easy but it's a lot better than I imagined it would be. I was so scared!! Make sure you get some yoga pants that hold ur tummy in. My body pillow I could not live without!! Don't drink anything carbonated after cause it hurts. You will be gassy! Don't be afraid to walk after it helps. Deep breath u will be just fine

I watched the video of one beforehand for questions I might have. The one I got from the video was about they used in the video. He told me it was a gel mesh whose idea it is to cut down the chance of the bowels attaching to the bladder or scar tissue while healing. He said he does not do it because in his experience scar tissue tends to get hooked on it causing more problems than it might avoid. After surgery I found out he injects a dye (not sure if in blood vein) which colored the ureter, urethra and bladder to cut down on chance of nicking it. I really appreciated that extra step because I have read some horror stories here.

Other questions might be related to the reason you are having it. I had it for cancer, no other problems.

Your nerves, fears, emotions, and freakouts regarding this surgery is very normal. It is much to process and digest.
