incision bumped & blisterlike wk 2

Has anyone else had their incision do weird things? I took off one of my steri strips because it was oozing out from underneath. I cleaned it with peroxide and put antibiotic ointment on it, but it looks like a little blister. It is tender too almost like it has its own nerve supply. Each side of it is healed in a straight line and looks like a normal incision. I don't have a fever and I feel ok. Anyone else experiencing anything like this?

Didn't your doctor tell you to remove the sterile strips the day after your surgery? It could be from moisture buildup. Your incision needs to air out.

They put the steri strips on at the doctors office when I got my "clips" taken out. That was on day 5 after surgery. I was told to keep them on at least 10 days. The nurse said I could shower and then pat them dry. I have sutures inside too.

I had surgery on march 1 and the 1.5" incision from my belly button has a bump at the lower end that sounds alot like yours. It is alittle sensitive like maybe one of the stitches below the skin trying to work its way out.

My incision did wierd things at the hospital. I had popped a staple and they covered it with gauze and taped it...I am allergic to the tape only it did not blister me until there at the end...then it pulled skin off in places. Been taped before and had no issues? They eneded up leaving the staples in for awhile instead of using steri strips just in case.
