I am allergic to NSAID'S...... Anyone else?

I am reading all the recovery reports and I keep seeing that the doctors are prescribing 800 mgs of Motrin or ibuprofen for pain and swelling. I am allergic to anti-inflammatory drugs. What will I be able to take? I rarely use any medicine at all because I am so sensitive to it. 12 days still excited and scared at the same time.

I am not allergic to them,but I can't take them due to a kidney issue. For the first three-to-four days after surgery I had percocet with benadryl. After that tylenol was good enough. Good luck with the surgery.

I am allergic to all NSAIDS as well. My Dr.'s prescribed me pain meds with
Acetaminophen (Tylenol based) pain meds. I was given Morphine in the hospital then graduated to Percocet. When I was discharged I was sent home with more Percocets. Sometimes I was given 5mg.'s and other times it was 10mg.'s. Just talked with your Dr. he/she will be able to give you something without Aspirin in it. Good luck to you!!

good morning, i'm allergic to NASID also. My Dr. told me she will prescribe Perocet for me.
