Bruising at incision

I'm 1 week out today from a TAH. I'm feeling pretty good, having a BM once a day all ready and spend more time up on the couch and not in bed. I have noticed a large purplish bruised spot under and over my incision,right in the middle of the cut. Did they hold my skin back with something that caused the bruising? I have normal yellowish bruising along my incision but this is the only purple spot.

I had a LAVH/BSO and I have a huge bruise on one incision and I asked my dr about it today at my visit and he said that the bruising is normal for me because he had to do some major scraping in that area.
