ANYONE have weight loss after hysterectomy?

I've lost 6 pounds since my surgery (5/9/05). Yeah!!! I also have hypothyroidism though and my doc said that since my hormones were so messed up, along with my metabolism, that that could be the reason. Make sense?...I'm not sure...I'm just hoping I lose some more weight. I haven't really changed any of my eating habits and I certainly haven't exercised a lot because of the surgery. My sister also lost weight after her surgery so that's two of us. Hope you makes three!!!

post op wt loss

Am looking forward to losing the few lbs gained during non-exercise time due to pain/pressure/cramping pre-op. Now if I could just stop the cookie binge.

ANYONE have weight loss after hysterectomy?

My doc assures me that I will see the scale go down but not for several weeks. The swelling, fluid retention, and scale fluctuations during the first 8 weeks are very deceiving...and frustrating. So, don't judge your weight by the first few weeks post-op. I'm just shy of 4 weeks post-op. Had to go to the doc yesterday and much to her dismay, I jumped on the scale. I got a lecture. So, I'm staying off until week 12 and just eating healthy foods, drinking lots of water, and walking in the meantime. Hope it all pays off down the road.
