What BRUISING to expect after Abdominal op

I had very little bruising. A small bruise just above the incision that went away in just a few days. Good luck to you. It's so much nicer once you reach the other side.

I don't recall any bruising after my tah/bso. I did have some swelling and was pretty tender and sore but no bruises that I remember. :0

Best wishes.

Very little bruising...

My DH checked it out for me early on and he said that there was a little bruising right along the incision line. I think it went away pretty quickly.

What BRUISING to expect after Abdominal op

I had bruising under the skin, no black & blues. I was around the incision. I had both vertical & horizontal, but only pain was at the vertical. I had had bruising on the left side where my huge Fibroid was. The dr said my intstines were all scrunched up & w/ all the work on that side I would be soar. It is getting better, but I do notice if I do too much it starts to feel tight & bothers me more.

I didn't have any bruising that I was aware of. It took my incision 10 weeks to close completely, but my incision was hip-to-hip so it took a little longer than for other (((sisters))).

However, I did develop a large abdominal-wall hematoma, which is sort of on the order of a bruise -- but inside the body.

I had a little bruising just under my navel and at either side of my incision. Nothing much, just a slight yellow colour - not black and blue! - which lasted around 4/5 days. All the best for your upcoming surgery tomorrow.
