Scared to Death

My doctor gave me the best advice with my recovery..."just listen to your body." Besides being tired , I feel so much better.

Best of luck and "just listen to your body."

Scared to Death

Sit down with your mom and tell her that you love her and you are sure she loves you. She loves you so much that she does not want you to feel this pain. It is your hope that having the hysterectomy will take the pain OUT of your life. "Yes, mom, having grandchildren would be nice, but there is no guarantee is there, that if I could have children I WOULD have children?. But, if I have this surgery this IS a guarantee that it will end every month of cyclical pain because I will no longer have the cycles." If your mother is a religious woman, ask her to pray for you that your pain will end and then ask that she will help you to move past this point in your life.
My mom helped me, we travel together on weekend trips, we take classes together--she helps me to fill the void that children would have filled. Ask your mom to do that for you, to help you heal. What you will really be doing is helping her to heal and to fill the void that grandchildren would fill. If all else fails---YELL at her and then tell her to leave you alone for awhile if she can't help you through this, you will have quite enough to deal with.

Scared to Death

14 years later I can look back on it with wisdom. Then, all I wanted was for it to be over---I'd been dealing with endometriosis and PAIN for a long time with little hope of children. Then, all I knew was no more pain, no more periods, no more clots, no more fear of bleeding through everything---SIGN ME UP -cjc148--14 years of freedom

Scared to Death

I would say you knew you body better than anyone, and if living w/the pain is an exceptable for you.( But I am sure it's not ) I am living in pain everyday now, I learned that I have adenomyosis and have to have a hysterectomy Aug 31. At first I wasn't so sure, but now that I am living in pain everyday, living on Pericet everyday until my surgery. I personally now can't wait. I thought I was losing my womenhood, and since talking w/people on this site, I don't really feel that way anymore. Everyone here is terrific, and I just want to say thanks to all.

I like everyone else I think you should talk to your OB and see what your option might be. I wish you the best and will keep you in my thoughts Luny4tunes.
