vivelle side effects

Hi there,
I am 51 and had a partial hysterectomy in 2005, ovaries and cervix intact. I started having pelvic floor nueralgia and was diagnosed with vagissimus (i know that is spelled wrong) and have been in physical therepay for almost 2 yrs. I was taking permaren cream to keep the lining of the vaginal walls plump and also for hot flashes. Now I have switched to Viville patch at .1 I have been on it 1 and half weeks (3 patches) and have experienced excrutiating lower back pain, breast tenderness, some minor headaches. The most painful is the lower back pain and right side of the back pain as well as arm pain. It seems to be muscular and I have a weak back so thought it might be that but now the pain is radiating all through the lower back and it feels different. Is this normal with the vivelle patch. I am pretty debilitated by the pain. Any suggestions? I need something for the hot flashes and to also lubricate the vaginal walls due to my pelvic floor issue. I also feel exhausted and feel like I could sleep all afternoon. It seems to be getting better but much.

I have been on vivelle dot 0.5 for 5 weeks. The package insert does say breast tenderness, headache and backache are possible side effects but I have not had any of these at all.

Maybe a lower dose will be better for you?

Whenever I have had breast tenderness my dosage was too high.
