Anyone Know what Dalotin is?

I am not sure how it is even spelled but the dr told me he was giving me delotin/dalotin as he does not use morphine. A little scared and unsure. My surgery is 12/27 at 6:30 AM. Both time I was in the dr office for questions, he was called out on an emerg from another doctor so I feel a little uninformed.

I have not heard of this particular pain killer, but there's no reason for you to be overly concerned...if it doesn't help you, post op, then the nurses will give you something different.
Personally, I didn't even like the morphine. I was much happier with my pain relief once I was given Percodan.

Thanks-1st real surgery

Thanks, this is my first real surgery with an overnight stay. I had an ablation in March that worked pretty good until September and with the cysts and all it was time. I think it was called Dilaudid that he said. I do not have the support of my boyfriend of over 11 yrs in this and he lives out of town. My 28 yr old daughter will be there until I go in and on to work she will have to go (her boss is a true winner) so I will be alone most of the day after the surgery. The preop was stressful as they blew through several veins and hit a nerve before getting what they needed. Any suggestions would be most appreciated

DawnieBeth,

Duladon is a VERY STRONG pain killer. I"ve had it before - to me it works better than Morphine. It has less side effect of making you sick.

Best Wishes - you will do fine and I"m sure that you will like the Duladon. You will not feel anything - you will be in your own happy little world.
