3 months post odd and sooooo tired

I am hoping someone could please help me,

Its now almost we months since the opp. I have been a insomniac all my life.
last few weeks I have been so tired and warn out.
I got a blood test, for heaps of stuff, iron, thyroid all 3 test, etc and all is really good.

I am sleeping very well at night but wake up warn out and struggle to get up.

Dr said I need a lifestyle change. I agree. But I am confused why all the sudden a huge sleep patten change.

Does any one know if this is opp related. Dr thinks it could all caught up with me.

Thanks in advance.

Re: 3 months post odd and sooooo tired

Hi Ellea
Don't be worried your tiredness and change in sleeping patterns is pretty normal from what I have seen of others posting their experiences. It takes 12 months for your body to completely heal.
I myself am ten weeks on since my hys and still need afternoon naps and about three hours longer sleep at night time. But like yourself I do get the occasional night where I just can't sleep either.
Take things slowly, eat well, and trust what your body is telling you!
It is saying to you that it still recovering from what is a major operation.
Hope things improve Ellea!
Bestest wishes

Re: 3 months post odd and sooooo tired

Hi Ellea ~~

Sorry you are feeling so tired and rundown. That was a good idea to get your bloodwork done to rule out thyroid problems, etc. Could you be depressed? I've read where depression can cause tiredness.

The other thing that comes to mind is sleep apnea. That would require sleeping overnight at the test center/hospital to see if you need to sleep with one of those CPAP machines each night.

If the tiredness is from your body recovering from the shock of surgery, maybe eating healthy foods, taking vitamins, drinking lots of water, and walking would help to heal your body.

I've been surprised at how long it takes to feel "normal" again. I can feel improvement from week to week, but I'm still not 100%. Take care.
