9 weeks pain and spotting

I am a slow healer and my stitches didn't dissolve until 8 weeks and that was after 4 weekly treatments of cauterization. So we finally got the ok to do the deed. No pain and no spotting after. We did it again two days later and again no pain or spotting. Last night we did it again around two am and it was fine at first then got very painful. We had to stop (we used plenty of lube so that's not an issue) I went to the bathroom and much to my surprise I was bleeding. Around four am I couldn't sleep because the pain was so bad. So here we are fourteen hours later and I am spotting very lightly but the pain is still there. It hurts pretty bad. Not severe but pretty bad. I called dr an he said as long as not clots to wait and to wait until tomorrow to be seen. I'm worried I don't think I can emotionally handle a set back and I'm worried about what could have happened. So any advise or similar stories would be great! Thanks
