mood swing and still have ovaries

I am approximetly 9 weeks post op and I have just return to work. On the weekend I was having severe mood swing. I still have my ovaries. Can it be possible that my ovaries are shutting down? Has anyone felt mood swing even though they kept their ovaries?

Sometimes after surgery, your ovaries can go into shock from the blood flow being reduced during surgery and from the handling. It's possible to have mood swings and even hot flashes for several months afterwards until they start functioning properly again.

My doctor suggested an over-the-counter soy supplement, such as Estroven or Healthy Woman. That seemed to help tremendously. Check with your doctor though beore taking anything.

If you don't notice an improvement within about a month, you may want to see if your doctor can check your hormone levels.
