2 weeks post hysterectomy: wound site sore

Hi, it's now two weeks since my op....total including ovaries etc....and I am still very sore and tender around the belly button wound. Thinking I may not have rested enough in the first week- no lifting or anything but perhaps just too much moving around? Incredibly firm to the touch...if I sneeze it's very painful! Using a wheatbag for some relief but just wondering if some wound sites take longer than others to feel better....thanks

Tomorrow I'll be two weeks and I feel just the same as you, felt better over the weekend and started to do laundry, cooking and went out for lunch and now I'm paying for it ;( I have pelvic and abdominal pain the I feel like I'm going to deliver a baby. Don't over due anything ! Healing will come just take it day by day !
I keep telling my self is not even two weeks after mayor surgery !!!
I still cry when I sneeze or cough try do do a pillow or hold your belly when you sneeze or cough !!

Re: Hi!

Week 2 youll have just a little imorovement over weej 1. Dont over do it bc set backs are common between week 2-3. Still rest, little walks indoors. Rotate thru the day. If youre too active, youll usually frel swelling,, fatigue, aches & pains. Get to week 4 & youll feel better. Week
5 almost back to feeling normal.

Cold packs or heating pads for pains.you can always put a call into your dr to ease your mind about the firm area. Its possible could be a hemotona- many times the body absorbs it. Ask talk to nurse if you cant reach Dr.

Feel better!
