Weird Feelings, Didn't think I would be this way!

Hello Friends!
I think the realization of what is going to be going on in a couple of days has hit me. I have felt anxious and crabby starting yesterday. My poor hubby called and said he needs to run out of state for work, which is what he does, and it has to be tomorrow. TOMORROW??? I am doing my body prep stuff. We live in Iowa and he has to drive down to the Kansas border. He will be gone ALL day. My younger kids will be in school, so no biggie, and my friend is picking them up and taking them overnight for us. BUT I just feel odd and emotional. Didn't think this would happen. I was so sure of what I am doing is the best decision for me, and now that is it almost here.......
Thanks for listening!
Love to all

Re: Weird Feelings, Didn't think I would be this way!

no worries, you are having normal feelings. When my husband and a friend went to my appt with the surgeon, my husband asked him if he could take the mean out of me! You will be just fine. The pre-surgery prep is not fun, I won't lie, but it's not that bad. Put on a pair of sweats, put a good smelling candle in the bathroom along with lots of soft toilet paper. The surgeons assistant gave me a little tip, which I did. After you drink your required amount of prep, take a small shot glass of 7-Up or other beverage. It helped. Good luck and you are going to be just fine. Put yourself in the right mindset knowing all is going to be ok - it helps!

Everything you are feeling is absolutely normal. Just remember, this is probably going to be the worst of it. When I had to do my prep, I was really emotional, I was hungry and my bum hurt...I was glad my hubby was at work. lol
Good luck and best wishes!!

PS, I noticed you are having a TVH, here's a link to my story if you want to read it.
