Nervous-Abnormal Pap

I just got a call from my doctor's office that I have to go back and have a procedure done that is like a pap smear because I had a change in cells. Not sure what that means, I was with customers so not able to ask questions. I have never had an abnormal pap smear before, but it has been like 5-6 years since I've had one because of lack of insurance.

If I remember right, I think they will analyze the cells with the new test. The new test will allow them to either confirm "abnormal" cells or show that it was a false positive.

I know going back in is scary. Take a deep breath and do this one step at a time. Don't get ahead of your diagnosis.

I have had several abnormal pap smears. They usually do whats called a colposcopy which is s biopsy.
