5 weeks post op Da Vinci - anyone have this?

HI - I've read that many experience the thick tissue under the DaVinci incisions at this stage - I have that, too. But I also still get quite sore towards the end of the day (and swelly belly is worse). I am not doing much at all - sleeping enough and just organizing magazine articles - lots of bending onto a table and getting up now and then for more supplies. Taking care of simple things around the house. Walking some. How long does this abdominal sensitivity last??

Re: 5 weeks post op Da Vinci - anyone have this?

I have the thick tissue under the 5 scars, but the muscle soreness is mostly gone for me.. Now it seems to be all internal soreness and some hip and leg pain... ugggh.... It should pass soon for you , I think.

Thank you for the reply. Yes, mine feels like internal soreness, too - like all the stuff they cut in there, besides going through muscle. I did a search and found a lot of posts - very common - and it can last a good 6 months! Often means we have done too much - but geez, doesn't seem like much at all!

Re: 5 weeks post op Da Vinci - anyone have this?

My surgery was the same day as yours. Yesterday I spent the day slowly putsing around in the kitchen getting things ready for Thanksgiving dinner. No heavy lifting nor bending. By the end of the day, I had a swelly belly with lots of tenderness....bo spotting though. I did not really do a lot, but evidently my body is saying I did...geeez. Took some IB and it is better toay, but will most likely take more IB.

Yeah, it sadly doesn't take much at all for the belly to swell and the incision areas (and beneath them) to ache. You are brave to even attempt Thanksgiving - I am thinking it is enough for me to go to someone else's house tonight! And I plan on taking a nap beforehand :-) Happy Thanksgiving to you all.

Re: 5 weeks post op Da Vinci - anyone have this?

I went over to my moms for Thanksgiving, did a load of laundry... Mostly sat around, walked around the house.. Then started spotting kinda orangish, then it turned to brown.. MY legs and hips are soo weak and sore after this surgery. Its awful. . My stomach incisions don't really bother me at all!!!!! go figure.. I guess its different for everyone.
