20 days post hysterectomy: JP Drain site still not completely healed

I'm on day 20 of recovery. I had a TAH, appendectomy, and colon resection. They put a JP Drain in my lower abdomen which was attached to me for 3 days draining excess blood and fluids from my abdomen. It was the most painful part of the surgery for me. After they removed it. They covered it with butterfly tape. The original butterfly tape stayed in place thru showers and everything for about 8 days. Then it came of. The incision still hasn't closed all the way. I have to apply my own butterfly tape (with help) daily. It still stings and hurts a little. Anyone else have this experience?

How have you been doing since you posted? Is your incision healing? I'm sorry having the JP drain was such a painful experience. I haven't had experience with a JP drain so I don't have any helpful info to share. But I wanted to check on you and send you hugs.
