Things to buy???

I bought a grabber thingie so I don't have to bend over, also a bed wedge and a foam leg support to go under my legs. My almost 14 year old DS is taking care of me after my DH goes back to work,he will only be able to take 2 days off.

Things to buy???

The laptop tray is good- wish I had a laptop!!! The things I did beforehand (and I only had 2 days since it was rather sudden) was I went shopping for very easy to prepare foods/snacks. I got soups and canned pastas that just need a quick microwave, as well as Lean Cuisine meals. Some easy snacks like ready to eat pudding cups, fruit, etc. And lots of bottled water!!! I have continued to make sure I drink at least 5 or 6 cups a day- it helps with EVERYTHING. I also bought some comfy elastic waist soft pants and shorts for coming home from the castle in and when I need to talk a walk or go out. No Jeans- no way! And I cleaned my house, so I wouldn't have to worry about it for a few weeks til I felt up to straightening up again- still don't, but my daughter does it for me! I personally wouldn't keep a cooler by the bed- it's important to get up often and take little walks around the house, and you may as well do that by going to the kitchen for a snack or drink!!! Good luck- no matter what you do or don't do, you'll really feel pretty well very soon and will be able to fend for yourself for the most part.

Things to buy???

I second Lindigran, and would add, somethings to read and if you do crafts unfinished projects get them handy, and new batteries for the remote control you will be driving that for awhile! LOL, maybe buy gas x just in case.
I paid attention before hand to things I bend for on a regular basis like dishwasher soap, pet food laundry soap etc...and put them on a reachable counter so when I could start doing things I had less bending, maybe freeze some of your favorite foods if you have time. diffently vacuum before you go, and sweep funny how I really wanted to do that a few days later and could not, and then I did and then it HURT!!!

Cheap sundresses for the weather, and elastic clothes, plenty of them!!
Oh get lots of fresh fruit and vegies enjoy a trip to the store, your grounded for awhile.
Really the worst is the worrying beforehand, it will be easier then you imagined.
good luck and hugs/prayers from another hyster sis
Mary

OH YES a small pillow for your tummy in the castle and for the seatbelt on the way home!

Things to buy???

I had some Walkie Talkies for when the DH or DD's were outside I wouldn't have to lay on the couch and scream! LOL

They came in real handy. Oh yeah, extra Toilet Paper! You always run out when you can't get to the store!

Good luck!
