infection incision site?

had 2nd abd. surgery march 22 for removal of uterus, part of bowel, debulking. first incision from pubic area to bellybutton re-used, new incision from bellybutton to just below breastbone. have been in excruciating pain from incision, esp. lower incision...today it looks red and inflamed in belly area. have phonecall into hospital nurse.

was not given antibiotics this time. oxycodone not helping incision pain, but does relax me enough to sleep for a bit. excruciating pain getting in and out of bed, so only walking to bathroom and back.

any advice or has this happened to anyone else. thanks.
