Take Doctor's Advice
Well, trying to be Superwoman, I went against my doc's advice and went back to teaching music yesterday. It wasn't too bad because I had 2 planning periods and 1/2 day. But, today was very, very long, and I am feeling it. My lower abdomen hurts, my belly button hurts and is pulling, and my bladder is losing control when I had that under control.
Remember, if you go back too early your employer will assume you are fine and expect you to be "yourself".....while my principal has been very understanding and the classroom teachers have told their classes to "go easy" on me, they, nonetheless want me to be "me".
Time for the couch and a heating pad and some pain meds. Thank goodness I have the weekend off.

Re: Take Doctor's Advice
I went back to work 3 weeks after my surgery, but only for half days -- plus, I have a desk job (not on my feet all the time). Do try to take it easy! Is there any way you can sit down for brief periods throughout the day? Take care of yourself and I hope you feel better soon!

Re: Take Doctor's Advice
I'm learning that even has far along as I am I need to take it easy sometimes...ESPECIALLY lifting things (even bags of groceries if they are heavy) I definitely will feel it the same evening or day later. I still have to remind myself that it takes the body awhile to heal ...Take Care and pamper yourself this weekend!!
