can't sleep!

I would feel the same way! Going to sleep would be the least thing I could do! But, you do have to find away! So put your self in the most peaceful place you can be, and then pray! It will help!
God Bless You! I will be thinking of you! Life has to be so much better after this!
Lots of Love,
Melba

s WendyLou,

I remember the "night before" feelings and insomnia.

I spent half of my pre op night chatting w/ another Hystersister from Australia. I will cherish that night for a long time. We talked about everything from kids to DH's (who coincidentally work for the same company - how cool is that?). She gave me alot of good advice and support. She was right too. You will feel so much better Post Op than you think. Such a pleasant surprise.

Also, just think about how nice it will be to add spontaneity back into your life. You'll be able to do so many fun things that, before your hyster., Aunt Flo would be sure to crash.

Going over your Post Op Plans, remember to stick some s in there and lots of s and z-zz-z-zz-z-zz-z-zz-z-zz-z's

Come back and let us know how you like being a Princess.
Much Love,
AnnieWoof

wide awake too

I'm wide awake too, I have to be there at 10 so I have about 7 hours left to agonize in solitude.

To make matters worse.... I got a call from the police at midnight, my DS was arrested for an unpaid ticket.

Great! Thank you very much.....

I had to drive 20 miles to go pick up his personal items (keys etc) and the vision of my son that I'll take to the OR with me is of him in the back of the patrol car in handcuffs.

I have to wait for him to be processed through the systenm before he can be bailed out. I may be in the OR by then. Just what I needed at this time, another problem to deal with!

Any thoughts I had of sleeping have evaporated, so now I'm doing more laundry, and looking for more things to clean. I should be good and tired by the time I get to the castle.

I just keep reminding myself that when all this is over I'll feel better.

I'm with you Brubert, my surgery's not till 2:30 either. I haven't eaten since sunday night and have been on clear liquids since monday...

A cup of tea would be nice.... oh well I guess I will just tough it out till 2:30..

Good luck to all today
