Anyone with TVH know when we can take a bath?

I am dying to take a bath! That is all I ever take. I knew I was supposed to wait a while before I could take one but how long?
Does anyone know for sure?
I had an epesiotomy and it is totally healed.

My post op orders say 1 week but my doc seems to release earlier than most...maybe you should call into your docs office to see for sure? A good soak sure would feel good, though!

I had the LAVH, my post op papers say 2 weeks of showering...good luck...I'd love to have a hot bath myself.

Hi my dr on day 7 to take a bath every day more than once if I wanted. but everyones dr seems to differ.

Enjoy it is relaxing just the getting out was a little testing.

I am six weeks post op and when been discharged the doctor said to have baths whick i have been doing and do I feel great after,all doctors are different and have different views.

My OB said 6 weeks due to water sitting inside there and could cause infection so I would call your doc and see what they say.
