Re: Question:bowel movements

Jenn: I had fibroids, endometrosis, enlarged uterus, heavy bleeding, frequent bleeding and feeling like I want to throw up when I got my period. I was not willing to live with this. I had my period since I was 12 and I'm now 45, I'm done with it! (I always say, Sorry God) but "it had to go" - it will all be worth it, trust me.....I dreaded going on trips or events in fear I would get my period...No More...Woo Hoo..

Wow, you had the whole gammit. I got my period the day before my 12th birthday. I so remember it. I threw up every month for a long time on and off due to the severe and crippling pains. Oh god! I prayed alot and i feel God gave me signs that evrything would be ok. I suffered from endo and my doc believes that i have adeno. I guess there is some pathology testing now so i will see. I had terrible bleeding and the cramps are terrible and every month i would just have terrible quality of life. Now, for the first time in my life, i want to get healthy.

Yeah, to no more periods!

Hugs
Jenn

Re: Question:bowel movements

2_n_jen,
I had horrible periods from the time I was 30. I suffered for over 20 years!! My Dr. found suspicious cells in the uterus which caused me to have surgery. I wish I had done this when I was 30! Why did I suffer all those years? Luckily, my pathology came back clear with no cancer. Your quality of life can be so much better now. It's natural to 2nd quess our decision when we are suffering or in pain but you will be so glad you did this when you are recovered. Use your homeopathic products to aid in the healing and if you need them to help in your hormonal changes. My
DH is a Chiropractor and he hands me fists full of supplements every day and even tho I complain....I know they are helping me. I know it is hard to be patient and wait for the healing. But you will be just fine. The gas and the bms and all that stuff eventually go away. At 4 weeks post op I feel terrific! Last week I was in the depths of dispair! It is definately a process. Good luck this week. I hope every day is a little better than that last. Cheryl

Hi Cheryl!
I am so encouraged to hear you are doing well! This is so positive for me to hear at this time in my healing. I am feeling quite good today with a headache but i havent had coffee in days due to my palpitations and anxiety. I dont even miss the taste of coffee to be honest with ye.

Which supplements are you on? I am on probiotic right now but will wait to next week when i see my doc to go back on my fish oil and l glutamine. I am all about homepathic meds when possible.

Thank you for your support.

Jenn.

Re: Question:bowel movements

Day 3 post op. I couldn't leave hospital until I passed gas but had "stage fright" due to roommate with huge family sitting right there. Finally asked for a suppository and that did the trick. Still waiting for a normal b.m. though. Feel like I'm going to explode and my back hurts.

Re: Question:bowel movements

I find coffee to be a great laxative...I drink my usual cup to 2 cups in the morning and walk around a bit...in no time, success! This has been working for me since post-op day 2...try it!

Re: Question:bowel movements

Finally!! Wow, I sent hubby out for suppositories as I just couldn't take it anymore. Didn't really go all that much but it was definately a relief.
Kinda like when a bear hibernates. I imagine whatever is in there must act like some kind of a plug.

Re: Question:bowel movements

My hubby made special strong pot of coffee for me that was more like Draino...didn't help. Neither did the apple sauce or raisin, date, walnut oatmeal.

Re: Question:bowel movements

It's been six weeks since my surgery and Mucinex is my new best friend.
I was having all the problems you all are describing and since taking mucinex at night my bowels are back to normal and the gas is gone. Just takes time. Good luck, Guess
