Hysterectomy for uterus/bladder adhesion
I've had 2 C-sections and an endometrial ablation. My first child was born 10 yrs ago and I had triplets 5 yrs ago. I've been in a lot of pain since the triplets were born. After a lot of ruling things out and my GYN looking at the pics from the last c-section, he's determined the cause of my pain is my uterus has attached itself to my bladder. This explains a lot of things and I'm happy to finally have an answer. He believes the only way to fix the problem is to have a hysterectomy. This would be a big surgery and I'm extremely nervous. I'm most concerned about maintaining the integrity of my bladder. I'm assuming I'll be able to keep my ovaries and cervix, but haven't had that in-depth discussion with the doc yet. I'm still trying to get the nerve up to go forward with the surgery. Has anyone had this surgery (uterus/bladder adhesion) before? Did you have any bladder complications afterward? The pain is intense and is getting worse as time goes by, so I'm almost at the "pull the trigger" moment....I'm just scared. Any thoughts, experiences and insight would be greatly appreciated.
