Appointment

Hi, I'm new here so not to sure where to post but I go for my first appointment today and see when I am going to get my hysto done. I am nervous and scared of what he is going to say.

Glad you joined.. trust me when I say you will get as much help here as I have recently!!

Good luck at your appt today. Have a list with all your questions and make the decision that is best for you!

Just know that no matter what you are told today and no matter how it makes you feel, you can come back here and talk about it. And there will be (many) other women who have shared the same experience and the same feelings!

Thanks ladies. I am just really nervous

I was too. Really really nervous. I delayed the whole thing for a few years. Now I can't believe I really did it and it's all over with.

There isn't a day that goes by that I do not get scared. I feel like emotionally and physically I am coming unglued. But I also realize that the only way the get a "normal" me again is to have this surgery. I no longer want the heavy bleeding, the month long pains to control my life.. I want my life back..so that helps me get over the fear.

Good luck. I am new here too, and have yet to make the call to tell my doc that I will have the surgery. Nerves are rampant!!

The waiting is the worst part of the whole thing. The easiest part for me was the hospital part, which was the part I was terrified of the most!
