Fatigue 1 month post hysterectomy...Am I overdoing it?

I had my total hysterectomy on June 22nd. I was on vacation this past week and returned on Sunday. I feel so tired all the time. I do basic errands and feel like I could sleep. When does the fatigue lessen?

My doctor also said I should start doing abdominal exercises starting this week, but due to my fatigue, I am holding off for another week.

Any suggestions, thoughts from others?

I was fatigued for a few months and honesty couldn't do much ab workouts until 4 months without any pain the next day. It sucks now but it does get better!!

Re: Fatigue post hysterectomy...Am I overdoing it?

My rule of thumb is that if the "Am I doing too much?" question enters my mind, the answer is yes. Listen to your body, mind and spirit during your recovery. There's no such thing as too much rest the first 8 weeks. Walking is important. Do as much of it as you comfortably can. But most of your recovery focus should be resting. Hugs!💞

I am not sure you are doing too much.
I found that walking daily does not only help me feel better, it also improved me being tired. Of course there could be many reasons why you feel tired and one of them could be doing too much. So rest is still important.
