Help, surgery moved up 2months and only have 3 days to prepare!!
After finally seeing a specialist on the 11th of March, I was orginally scheduled for a hysterectomy and bladder repair for the 2nd of June. There was a cancellation and my surgery was pushed up to March 29. Am I relieved? Absolutely!! Nervous? Yes. What items will be necessary for me to take? What exactly should I expect? I know that there will be relief from the pain that I have experienced for the last 15years which is what keeps me focused. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!

Help, surgery moved up 2months and only have 3 days to prepare!!
Hi there,
I had my TVH 4 weeks ago and I will tell you a few of the things I took along with me that made my trip to the castle easier:
1. My pillow (nothing feels as good as your own pillow)
2. A warm blanket (poor lady I shared room with froze her but off)
3. My own PJ's for after the cathetar was removed
4. Housecoat and slippers (they will want you walking after)
5. Lotion for itchy skin (something about the hosp. air makes everyone itchy!)
6. Shampoo, conditioner, toothbrush, and toothpaste
7. My own pantiliners - if you have any discharge or slight bleeding you will have to use their HUGE pads.
Good luck, and stay positve.
