Seriously, since I'm living in sweat pants right now, how much larger should I get a few pair for after the surgery? Or would shorts be easier (I'm in Houston, so it may be hot come the middle of April)? I would assume non-elastic legs at the bottom would be easier for me. And panties-how much larger? Sheesh-do they make them in elephant size? I'm just wondering if I should go 1 or 2 sizes larger on my recovery wardrobe. I already have jammies that expand really really large in the waist so I should be ok with those or should I scrap those and buy some mu-mu's to sleep in?
I keep reading about the swelling and I think, dear heavens, if I look like this now and I'm going to swell more..............I'll be a dead ringer for Elsie the Cow!
Thanks sweeties!

I bought granny panties 2 sizes larger than I normally wear. I think one size would have been enough, but 2 was not so loose they were falling off or anything. I lived in pajamas, sweats, and lounge wear for the first month. I didn't need any sizes larger, just drawstring or elastic waist. Hope that helps!

you are too funny! but I had rather laugh then cry!
I got my lovely white "granny panties a size larger
then normal.. still was depressing!
I got some new night gowns and robe, im was able to fit into my sweat pants, although somedays my belly says go up a size.! I still cant stand anything too tight on my belley or sides! my kids laugh at me because they say I pull my pants up to my arm pits...at least i feel better! I would go with what ever makes you feel better and comfey!I didnt really care how I looked and still wear what feels good when at home...take care!

I plan on just living in my DH's night pants and shirts. I figure my big teddy bear of a DH's clothes will work fine. It is what I wore when I was pregnant. Haven't gotten around to the panties issue, I only wear thongs and think I own one pair of granny panties Sorry!! That should be an interesting trip to the store!!

OMIGOD, I had a VERY good chuckle at the "pulling pants up to armpits" comment as thats how I've been living for almost 3 weeks so its funny to hear someone else doing that too - just can't stand to have anything around abdomen. I went 1 size larger for the panties and drawstring sweats, etc.

I found that panties one size bigger were perfect. I bought two sizes bigger, but they were too wide in the crotch area.

I also bought light weight cotton draw string pj bottoms in one size larger. Nothing gathered at the waist...just a ribbon draw string.

Good luck!
