Re: Circle of Support - Have you helped a sister today?

To all of you who are scared and not sure whether to have a hysterectomy or not . It took me 7 years to get up my nerve, I was sooo scared, and you know what , it wasn't bad at all. I have like 40 - 50 stitches inside, I had my ovaries and uterus taken out and repair on my bladder and rectum and I am in my 3rd week and I feel Great. And the whole procedure was not bad at all.

Considering the amount amount of support and encouragement I received from this site after my surgery I'm definitely willing to help.

Circle of Support - Have you helped a sister today?

I am new here, and already feel less worried about some spotting I was experiencing. My gut feeling was that I have been doing more than I should after only 2 weeks. After reading some posts, it confirms for me. (Although I did put a call into my dr.to get the word from him as well...still waiting for a call back.) It's nice to know that there are others who understand what I'm going through and look forward to passing on the compassion, and maybe a little bit of peace of mind. I hope we all have great recoveries!

Re: Circle of Support - Have you helped a sister today?

I try to check this site at least once a week. I am 8 weeks post TAH from endo. Ca. Stage 1. I am doing well and I had so many fears going into this that I feel now that I have learned a lot that I can pass on.
Stay well everyone

Re: Circle of Support - Have you helped a sister today?

I try to make it a habit to go to Pre-Op and answer questions also. I know just 3 weeks ago it was ME asking those same questions and some of you ladies helped ME! I truly still appreciate the help and even learn a lot from the pre-op ladies also!

Re: Circle of Support - Have you helped a sister today?

I also try to check this site weekly. I am about 9 weeks post op so everything is fairly fresh in my mind.
I appreciated the support I got from the hystersisters who had gone before me.
